TITLE: R&R Telework Schedule MEDIA: Digital SOFTWARE: Adobe InDesign COMPANY: Florida Department of Financial Services Division of Consumer Services DATE: August 2024 DESCRIPTION: Please note: Some of the information has been removed from the image for privacy reasons.  I was responsible for creating a schedule for our division to provide my team with a clear and accessible overview of workdays and shift times. To accomplish this, I utilized InDesign's table feature.

TITLE: Outreach Supplies Label MEDIA: Digital SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator COMPANY: Florida Department of Financial Services Division of Consumer Services DATE: July 2024 DESCRIPTION: My first assignment for DFS was creating a label that we could place on our supply boxes. Our mascot for the department is a flying pig, so I decided to utilize Illustrator's AI feature to generate our mascot flying through the skies. I added one of our brochures in its hands to make it seem like it is delivering brochures to consumers.

TITLE: Halloween Projection MEDIA: Digital, Projection SOFTWARE: MadMapper, Adobe Premiere Pro HARDWARE: Macbook Pro 2019 SPECIFICATIONS: 1920X1080px, RGB DURATION: 0’43” CLASS: FMX 463 Multimedia Installation PROFESSOR: Santiago Echeverry SEMESTER / TERM: FA 22 INSTITUTION: University of Tampa LINK: https://maddywessling.blogspot.com/2022/11/halloween-projection.html DESCRIPTION: Halloween Projection is a piece that was commissioned by a Tampa couple to project a Halloween show on their house on Halloween night. The process included myself and a team to measure the house, set up all of the equipment, create the assets, and run the show. This project was my first commission outside of school and was a great learning experience. It was great to see the reactions of everyone who viewed our work during Halloween night!

  TITLE: The Last of Us Scene Recreation  MEDIA: Video  SOFTWARE: Premiere Pro, Unreal Engine HARDWARE: PC, Live audio and visual equipment, LED screen SPECIFICATIONS: 1280X720px CLASS: FMX 350 Virtual Production PROFESSOR: Gregg Perkins SEMESTER / TERM: SP 24 INSTITUTION: University of Tampa DESCRIPTION: In this project, my classmates and I did a recreation of a scene from the TV show The Last of Us. We combined acting, video, recording, and editing skills in order to make this possible. My role was to act as Ellie, one of the main characters in the show. I also helped the production team with setting up the LED screen in the back to add the Unreal Engine backgrounds. This project was a lot of fun to create and I really enjoyed being apart of the process. 

Buck and Zeale Music Video

TITLE: Buck and Zeale Music Video MEDIA: Live Performance  SOFTWARE: Premiere Pro HARDWARE: PC, Live audio and visual equipment, LED screen SPECIFICATIONS: 1280X720px CLASS: FMX 350 Virtual Production PROFESSOR: Gregg Perkins SEMESTER / TERM: SP 24 INSTITUTION: University of Tampa DESCRIPTION: In this project, my class was able to work with Buck and Zeale, who are two music industry professionals, on their new music video. My job was to create the visuals for the background and display them on our LED screen during the shoot. I really enjoyed working behind the scenes for this music video. It was a lot of fun not only being able to design, but also working the technical aspects. This was an unforgettable project and I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with professionals in the industry. 

Nam June Paik Award in New Media

  The Nam June Paik Award in New Media is awarded to one student each year who excelled in the New Media program at the University of Tampa. I am deeply honored to receive this award and I am extremely grateful to my professors who supported and encouraged me to go above and beyond at every point in my degree. 

Architectural Visualization Scarfone Gallery Award

 My Architectural Visualization piece was showcased in the Scarfone Gallery at the University of Tampa in March of 2024. I won an honorable mention for the piece. It was surreal seeing my work showcased in an actual gallery. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to showcase my work in a new setting.
